Generally speaking, the brands sign on after the attendees, so I won’t know exactly what companies will be joining us. That said, you can expect brands from a variety of women-centric lifestyle products, including: skincare, apparel, footwear, sunglasses, healthy snacks, etc.

Greenhalgh PR plans to run at least two Influencer Content Retreats per year.
-
That is always something I’m happy to discuss! Many times it won’t be an issue, but I will need to let the brands know in advance of the retreat.
-
Unfortunately, you are not permitted to bring guests on these trips… while you will have some free time, this really operates as a group trip for the selected attendees.
If you have an influencer friend who you would like me to consider as an attendee for the trip, I’m happy to take a peek! There is a lot of criteria I use for attendees, but I always love learning about new candidates.
-
In theory, this would be great, but in practice, it just doesn’t work. You’ll want to spend time with these folks, and will be a distraction. To ensure you’re making the most of the experience and getting all the rest that you need, we can not make exceptions to this rule.

LEADING UP
-
The briefing meetings are for you to virtually meet the brand representatives from the companies that will be represented at the retreat. This gives them the opportunity to tell you a bit about the products and gives you the opportunity for some face time with the decision-makers for the brand. (Future partnerships are easier after you’ve met the person!)
-
Yes - but we’ll give you a stipend to cover it. This is one of the ways that helps keep things organized for us all! Jess will provide you with the information you need about arrival and departure dates, and once your booking is complete, just make sure to fill out the form with all the details.
-
Nope! We have that covered!
-
Pack as you would for a vacation to this destination, and we’ll let you know if there’s anything specific you don’t need to bring. Plenty of apparel options, undergarments, footwear, makeup… it’s better to have too much than too little!
We recommend keeping some extra space in your luggage for any gifts that are coming home with you!
(You are also welcome to bring a shipping label with you, and then ship a box of items home at the end of the retreat. We can provide you with a box and tape.)
And don’t forget a book and some headphones! There will be downtime so bring something to entertain yourself.
-
PHYSICAL: You’ll be in a lot of photos, so do anything that will make you feel most comfortable in front of a camera. This may include a: mani/pedi, hair appointment, spray tan, facial, and whatever kind of primping you usually do.
Note: Please make sure fingernails and toenails are a neutral color and short or moderate length, as more prominent styles limit the amount of photography we can do.
STUDYING: I’ll provide you with information on all the brands in advance, and you’ll get a booklet to study on-site. I recommend looking over all the brand materials so you’re familiar with the products.
-
Yes, please! We love referrals and will provide a $500 commission to attendees for all confirmed sponsorships.
ON LOCATION
-
BE OUR MODEL
Our photographers will be shooting GORGEOUS content using you as our model! All products will be mainstream, consumer goods - apparel, makeup, footwear, snacks - and both attendees and brands will have access to these images following the retreat.
POST ABOUT THE BRANDS
Each influencer will have a different, set number of posts committed per brand. Posts can tag multiple brands, and these can be stories or static, but we want you posting and tagging as much as possible!
-
Think of this as having two channels of content:
First, the brand photos/videos that we’ll provide to them;
Second, the photos/videos you’ll be using for your social media.
Our photographers and videographers will shoot all the content for the brands, and they are not responsible for shooting content for your channels.
Anything you’re posting to your stories/Instagram in real-time, you’ll be shooting that yourself on your phone (or personal camera). When you’re on the retreat you have certain posting requirements, and you are expected to shoot all of that content yourself. You’ll have a good amount of free time, so usually, people will break off into small groups to shoot together.
So, in short:
Photographers - shoot for brands
Influencers - shoot for their own channels
-
HELLS YES. When the photography team is done with edits, we will create a master folder of all the brand final assets that you are welcome to use! You can expect to see a link to all of these about 2 weeks after the retreat ends, and you can pull whatever you want as long as you’re tagging the brands.
-
You’ll get a booklet with a schedule, brand briefs, and all that fun stuff when you arrive. Don’t worry - I’ve got you covered!
Like any photoshoot, there is always some downtime while we’re setting up shots and using other models, so please be sure to bring some books and headphones so you don’t get bored.
-
The middle three days we’ll be creating content, so part of the day is dedicated to photoshoots, and the rest will all be fun! From five-star dinners to relaxing yoga classes, we try to balance the work with the fun.
SAMPLE
8am-9am: Breakfast
9am-12pm: Photoshoot for Nike
12pm-2pm: Free time for lunch
2pm-5pm: Photoshoot for Anthropologie
5pm-7pm: Free time
7pm-9pm: Dinner at Ritz Carlton
-
If you have something that needs to go out, that’s totally okay. However, you can not post about any brands that are in a competitive category to our sponsors for the duration of the trip, or the 48 hours before/after.
(Eg. If we’re working with Pepsi, you can not post about Coca Cola for the 48 hours before the retreat, the duration of the retreat, and the 48 hours following the retreat.)
-
Please remember that THIS IS A JOB, and you are committed to attending all of the photoshoots and mandatory activities scheduled for the trip.
That said, these trips can be exhausting, which is why I built in a ton of free time and optional activities. You'll see anything optional marked as such, so feel free to skip those. I recommend that you take advantage of any/all downtime to make sure you’re well-rested for the shoots!
-
You are contracted to tag each brand at least once, but if there’s something that doesn’t really resonate with you or your audience, you can find a way to incorporate them without giving an endorsement. Including the product with the other brands in some stories about the trip is a good way to make sure this happens.
If you’re really not comfortable posting about a brand (eg. a liquor brand when you don’t drink), just let Jess know in advance and we’ll figure things out.
-
We ask that everyone try to make it work, but we never want anyone to feel uncomfortable. Make sure you’re openly communicating with Jess and the team so we can make sure everybody is comfortable and happy.
(Eg. If it’s swimwear, maybe you could add a sarong or cover-up.)
-
Tummy troubles? Migraine? Things happen! We just ask that you keep us in the loop if something comes up. Running late? Just let us know so we can make sure to work around it, and not hold things up waiting for you to arrive.
COVID-19: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
Although Greenhalgh PR has instituted reasonable practices in an attempt to lessen or reduce the spread of COVID-19, Greenhalgh PR cannot guarantee that you will never get exposed to the virus or get sick from it. By attending a Greenhalgh PR Influencer Content Retreat, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
-
We guarantee at least two meals per day, and will make sure you’re never in need of a snack! These will all be indicated on the itinerary.
-
No - we do not have our attendees share bedrooms. There may be an instance where you’ll have to share a bathroom, depending on the property's layout.
(Note: We do use the property to shoot content, so we usually have one day where your room may be used as a set. We will let you know in advance so you can keep any personal items tucked away during that time.)
POST RETREAT
-
If this is a concern, feel free to bring a FedEx or UPS shipping label with you. When the retreat is over, we’ll be happy to provide you with a box and some tape to pack things up, and you can leave the box with us for pickup.
-
Feel free to pitch them projects starting 30 days after the retreat! If they approach you before that time, it’s totally fine.
-
Each retreat will have different goals, so while we’d like to have a core group of influencers we work with, the attendees will shift depending on the retreat. A good way to make sure you’re invited back is to exceed your posting requirements and be helpful and easy on-site!
