The Person you didn’t know you needed.

On TV, publicists look super glamourous. They wear blazers and high heels, run around New York carrying big dossiers filled with paper, putting out fires for their powerful clients.

I’m not THAT kind of publicist.

After years of working at agencies and in-house for brands, I know that the best kind of PR person is the one who silently clicks away, getting killer results, without the shouting phone calls and power suits. (Although if there is such a thing as a power sweatsuit, I’m pretty sure I do have that.) Getting good placements is all about making quality connections and being thoughtful when conducting outreach. And, like any fire, a PR fire is best handled by staying calm and responding quickly and efficiently… and by denying it oxygen.

My practical approach isn’t for everyone. You’ll never hear me say “tried and true” is the best way to go, because I know in a field that’s always evolving, tactics have to change, too. If a plan is outdated or simply a bad idea, I’m going to tell you that. If you want to make a spend on something that won’t have the results you’re looking for, I’ll find a better way to use the funds. And if you want to be on the Oprah Show, I’ll gently let you know that it was canceled in 2011.

See? You need me—a smart, straight shooter with more than 12 years of experience in PR and communications. Send me a note and let’s figure something out!

BTW it’s pronounced Green-hall. I know. It’s spelled funny.
